I need help finding a fic please, it’s a BTS Yoonmin fic and I’ll list everything I remember. It’s on AO3 though.

Yoongi and Jimin end up accidentally married (I think it might be omega verse and they mate) - they don’t know each other before this

Yoongi is a producer along with Namjoon (and possible Hobi)

Jin is a lawyer

Kookie and Tae are in the same idol group with a random person

Namjin are together with children

Jimin moves in with Yoongi and they live in the same area as Namjin

I think J-Hope and IU are together but I’m not sure

Jimin’s mum is ill and I’m pretty sure she dies

The only scene I remember is that Jin hosts regularly dinners for everyone and Jimin’s not invited but shows up for some separate reason and gets all sad.

I just love the way this Fandom is so respectful towards jimin. I love how they made a whole au out of the hate jm was receiving after tweeting "Fans are getting brave watch me write their fav chock on yg's dick" damn. The kind of Fandom jimin has and people wonder why his fans are more protective towards him cause if left up to the Fandom this is what goes on here. You write a fic out of it.

I'm pretty sure the fic was in response to the protect BTS accounts and the fans getting up in arms about policing fanart, fanfic and any/all nsfw accounts. Not any hate that Jimin is getting in particular. It was a yoonmin fic because they are a yoonmin ship account. What else would they write? And honestly, people DONT get to police other people art. That protect account ISN'T protecting anyone or doing the right thing.

There is enough hate and death threats (?!?) going on that everyone wants to get up in arms about policing fandom now?? People are saying no fancams? Or concert streams? No fanart no fanfic? I learned recently that some baby ARMYs have started discourse that even having a bias is bad and makes you not OT7. Do you understand how insane all this fandom policing is?

BTS enjoys it themselves too. If you don't like the fandom, don't like participating in what the fandom is, don't. Don't do it, don't engage with it. But you don't get to try and change it and police others. Jimin's own back tattoo literally came from a fanart that could've been considered NSFW by some. BTS saw it, and Jimin loved it enough to actually put it on his body for real forever. Baby ARMYs haven't experienced the fandom enough to have discourse over it, that bias thing is so upsetting and ridiculous.

Let them "fight back" against the fandom policing anything NSFW in a silly au fic that doesn't harm anything or anyone. If you don't like it, don't read it. But that wasn't about all the other hate Jimin has been getting. Although I guess I can't know that for sure, but you could always comment and ask them what hate they are responding to instead of assuming the worst because you don't like the phrase "have your fave choke on some dick" (and not in a hateful way but a sex way). I went and found that tweet too. I read the short au, not something I would ever seek out, read again or normally engage with, I have no interest in their account, but the fic itself had nothing bad in it at all either.

Maybe it's me and I'm missing something. I don't understand the outrage over this fic though. I just think people need to learn the skill of if you don't like something, don't engage with it.

A little intro abt me:

I'm queer and use they/them pronouns. I write on ao3 sometimes, acc: yooniedae (link at the bottom). My native language isn't English but I'll try my best to not make too many mistakes.

Most of the time, however, I just obsess over my special interests, and that's mostly what I wanna do on here as well as basic rants and spamming whenever I feel like it.

As my username suggests I'm a supernatural fan and autistic (and hc Cas as autistic bc c'mon, hence the username). In addition, I also love bts, art, psychology, mdzs, the marauders era, criminal minds and shoot from the hip (a new special interest I've found and I love them sm). I'm also an avid shipper at heart (e.g., taekook, yoonmin, destiel, wolfstar, wangxian, etc.). Basically just anything queer and/or psychological ig lol

I plan on also sharing links to my fics on here (whenever I post them lol, it's more of a hobby so they'll be very sparse). You don't need to read them, I just like to share them bc usually I like them at least a little bit.

But yeah, that's about all I can think of rn, I'm gonna go back to finishing spn s15 bc no I have not finished it yet smh (but I have gotten spoiled so I know what happens).

hey, do you have any jikook fics to recommend? I loved your two last ones, i sent you an ask saying thank you for the recommendation but seems like it got lost in the lights lol. So yeah i loved those recommendations (i did already read one of it but re-read it on your recommendation) so if you have any more to recommend I'd love it. For preferences just kinda long or like 50k+ words with good writing. Sorry if it seems demanding idk how to work with this language 😅

Sorry anon, your message must have indeed gotten lost somewhere among the others. But to compensate for that and to not be rude, I'll offer you some quick recs now.

First one would be Agency. It's a/b/o and I know I said I'm not a fan of it, but somehow I gave this one a chance and I don't regret it. It was a critical take on the concept and the dynamics, challenging traditional notions of a/b/o and more so, the author used it as a criticism/mirror to the control the talent agencies and companies have over their trainees and signed artists. The a/b/o trope turned into a metaphor on how one had control over their body and how that body is used for various purposes by other people. I think it was a really interest way to make a critique on kpop as well and it made me think of the way we talk about idols as well, often times if not fully, on the line of objectification.

There's few people that I like the way they write Jungkook as a character because they stay away from ridiculous stereotypes and also give him so much depth. Rkiveink is one of them and I think Floodlight has been read by so many, but it's definitely high on my rec list.

God, are you there? I never thought I would power through a chaptered fic that had a serious taekook relationship and also some yoonmin, but damn, it was worth it. If you're willing to give this a chance, I don't think you would regret it. I did it because I've read other fics from the same author so I trusted the process. The summary doesn't tell you much, but jikook are really fun in this one and by the time in gets to the tension, and the flirting while knowing they shouldn't be doing it, you'll be on the edge of your seat. I actually read this while it was ongoing and I couldn't wait for the next chapter.

90% of my BTS-related fics are Yoonmin (they are still on my top3 bookmarks couple). I would 100% rec (no order of preference except the top 3):

First touch by flowerpicture2. Perfect fanfic. Literally changed me. Author posted it and went missing, never to post again. I respect them.

Atoms and Empty Space by AtillaTheHun (genuinely, to this day, the best fanfiction I’ve ever read in my life. The writing is magnificent.);

Saltation by momora; (I have been reading this fic for 5 years and this author is a sweetheart. Embark in this journey with us);

In a blaze of glitter by mariposawings;

Circus lights by shoshinlaurels;

If you want my seal of approval for any “yoonmin bible” slash the biggest monsters in the fandom, I would go for The Songbird and the Sea. Ukiyo is not something you really want to read it (I’ve read it while it was being posted. I do cherish the experience but never again. Not for me.)

Besides Yoonmin, I’m a huge slut for Jinkook. Cherub vice is truly one of my all time favorite fics and it genuinely changed me as a person and put so much into perspective and it has a permanent mark in my heart.

No, I don’t have anything against Jikook/Taekook, love both, read both, I just never touch any of the jikook/taekook fans with a ten feet pole and I rather not rec anything because Jikook/Taekook writers are monsters and almost everything is either really good or really problematic. Or both. You never know what you are going for.

I genuinely am a person who sort of hyperfixates on a couple and doesn’t like to read anything beyond that, so it’s either Yoonmin or Jinkook for me. Which reminds me: taaffeite moths by nonheather was an insane reading and birdsong by literallies was the sweetest thing and grounding/unmoored also by literallies was genuinely the funniest thing I’ve ever read and I cannot believe I cried reading a 2k anthropomorphic fic about a boat (seokjin) being stuck at the suez canal (jungkook).

Let me see what else… I think because BTS has been such a big part of my life for so long that those first years fan crazyness sort of dimmed down. They are still very important to me, but instead of being a guiding light in my life, they are now a brilliant sunset that bathes me in hope for what is to come. I still go drink some coffee by myself at each member’s birthday and I’m counting the days to 2025, but it’s like I’m waiting for a long distance friend to come visit instead of losing my mind over seven celebrities being able to perform for me or give me new content. Which reminds me: we are boycotting hybe and we do not stand with 🛴 zionist ass, so I’m careful with any content I engage now (& truly, I’m not on any social media besides tumblr, and I rarely engage with anything hybe related here or anywhere else).

Random Facts About About My Stories/Writing:

•Risk it all was going to have a Kuina, Chishiya love triangle (I vetoed the idea)

•My YoonMin Fic was initially a yn x yoongi fic

• Twisted Feelings didn’t gain much traction at first I nearly ended it until a friend told me how much they enjoyed it. (This is why comments and inbox submissions are so important)

• Come Here Sweetheart nearly was scrapped, I found it hard to do.

• I initially didn’t want to write for Niragi but ended up doing it anyway.

• I have so many stories that need editing but not enough time so I hate looking at past work because of the mistakes.

•Trust Me was supposed to be a one shot but I wanted to write more, I was going to turn it into a series and didn’t. Jimin was going to break YNs heart. ( I was depressed lmao)

•I have had a Kuina and Ann 4 chapter fic sitting in my drafts for a year, it’s complete and edited but it but I have a lot of personal stuff in it and it may be too heavy so idk what to do with it.

• I figured out my sexuality/identity after reading/writing The Gentlemen.

• TGM hobi was going to join the relationship (my idea) I changed it when I understood more of what he represented for so many people.

•I want to write me own universe story, I have a few ideas for a story but it would be 200k plus and I can’t decide on the ship. I want to finish all my current stories and then work on it.

•I wrote the first 20 chapters of risk it all in 3 weeks, I was exhausted and left myself so drained. Never do that.

• Many of my story plots started from dreams or one liners I see in random places, I don’t plan many of my stories. Risk it all, trust me and twisted feelings are the only ones.

•I got de@th threats for posting BTS fics but continued anyway bc I have too many ideas.

•I really do have too many ideas and my hands can’t write fast enough. I hate that I can’t get my stories out the way I want too.

• I tend to write between 10pm and 4am I have insomnia and can never really sleep, I edit during the day but very rarely will I write in the day time.

•In quiet getaway I was going to make it an angst fix with more than 1 chapter but it worked well for the 1000 special. I was worried to post it bc a friend had wrote a similar trope in her story little so you know (recommend it 100) and I didn’t want her to think I copied her.

•we may revisit the futures of the 1000 followers special couples depending on what people want.

•Not So Dinner date was supposed to be Jin x reader but I changed it to Namjoon.

•Risk it all Chishiya was going to kill Niragi

• Risk it all Arisu was going to fight Chishiya but didn’t

•I have risk it alls ending planned out it’s just a matter of writing and posting, I’d say there’s 20-25 more chapters.

•Twisted feelings will have around 40 chapters.

•Hoseok and Jimin were contenders for the day date in the last chapter of TGM but it changed when jimin won the fan gave and Hobi was eliminated

• hobi was going to be angry at yn for eliminating him but I couldn’t do that

My Review and Rec:

This Yoonmin fic was posted about 2 1/2 years ago and currently holds over 4,000 kudos, so you know it must be good.

And it IS! 

It’s fluffy in the fluffiest way and made me smile the whole time I was reading it. 

There is some angst, but it involves Jimin’s past (and Taehyung’s too) and there is a part where Taehyung is in a situation where he is taken advantage of (not actual rape but it is implied that it would have happened had it not been thwarted in time), but we get to see how Yoongi becomes the hero, and it’s just steeped in sweetness. My heart was so happy to watch the Alpha and Omega bond form between these two.

I’d mentioned in one of my Namjin fic reviews that I’m not usually into the whole A/O/B thing but it was really interesting to read it in this fic. I learned more about it and I honestly really love the whole protective alpha thing, especially with the side Taekook that was happening. Let me just say, the side Taekook and side Namjin in this fic was SO GOOD! And there was LOTS of it.

The fic doesn’t dive into anything real deep or extensively detailed. It gets right to the point of wanting to show how quickly the alpha and omega bond can form when it is meant to be. This fic could have easily been twice as long, because the writing it SUPERB and I would have loved to read a really flushed out fic, but regardless of being just a little over 24,000 words, it worked as a short and sweet story that makes you warm and fuzzy all over at the end.

Bottomline: A very sweet, romantic and happy Yoonmin alpha/omega fic that I could easily find myself reading again and again.

I don't typically recommend fan fiction, I just read it lol. But every once in a while I come across one that i feel deserves to be read by like everyone. So this fic is like amazing. It has the perfect blend of romance, fluff, smut, humor, and angst. I haven't read something so good in a long time and this fic deserves everything.
